State Street Mansion is one of the earliest examples in Albany of a private dwelling in the Neo Classical style of architecture, which would become widely popular in the period ca. 1880 - ca.1900.

Restored in 1991 as a private questhouse, State Street Mansion is registered as an historic landmark with Historic Albany Foundation.

State Street Mansion is located in the heart of Albany's Historic Center Square district.
